Returns

This is a good machine if you want the ability to make espresso and drip coffee but do not have the counterspace for two seperate machines. The espresso function does not have an auto shut off when brewing, so you need to manually turn it off after it has brewed the prefered amount.

Great coffee machine, it is perfect for those who like to drink lattes but also like to drink drip coffee. The only cons about this is getting the appropriate grind for the espresso to be a good shot, I took me a few times to get the correct grind, also the milk steamer is not at a good location hard to use and it takes for ever to steam the milk. Overall a good machine for a beginner at coffee! Have being using it for over 2 years now and it works just as new.

The DeLonghi coffee maker we just bought works pretty well on the drip side. The espresso side and steamer produce quality beverages, but I might be doing something wrong, as the drip tray seems to need to be emptied a couple times per day if I make espresso in the morning. It even begins to gather water on days I don’t make espresso or use the machine at all. The problem may be user error, but would not recommend until I get that figured out.

I now have gone through two of these exact machines. I loved everything about the machines for the first 8-10 months of having them. However, about 10 months into the first machine I had started coming up short with the amount of coffee it would dispense versus the requested amount (ex: I would set for a 6 cups but it would only give 4 cups). About 8 months into the second machine, it would start descaling on the espresso side randomly.
The first machine, I replaced with the same product via geek squad. The second machine, I ended up replacing with a Ninja product instead.
This machine was perfect until it started acting up. I would not recommend this model in the future.

The regular coffee side worked perfectly!
The expresso coffee side not well. It kept leaking water and the strength of the coffee was weak.
Better to buy separate units for expresso and regular coffee.

Not worth the money. After buying an earlier version of this machine in December 2020, it broke. Steam leaked into the electronics panel and water condensed causing a short. This broke after about a year. This current version was purchased in 2022 and failed in May 2024. This time it was the coffee pot and not being able to start the automatic drip. I surmise it was steam from the coffee pot that leaked into the electronics panel again. This is in addition to the steam mechanism again not being able to work for almost a year.

Very basic and practical. Only thing I feel can be improved is being able to put a nice size mug instead of always having to use coffee pot (saves you from having to wash two things instead of one). Ok great cup of coffee so long as you have correct measurements of water and coffee grounds, which should be easy with detailed instructions and labeled scooper. The espresso works great as does the frother. What I love about this machine is the ease to make either cup of joe or espresso in one. It has separate tanks of water for each side so no complications whatsoever, it’s literally two machines joined together with separate controls for each. Like I said very basic and easy to use. The other thing this machine does great is how easy and effective they made it to clean. The coffee part of the machine does not drip after coffee is made (which beeps to make you aware it’s done brewing), but while the espresso part does, under the cup there is a tray where excess water will leak and will hold however much it leaks so when it’s time to clean you can just scoop out tray without making any type of mess anywhere else. Win Win at a bargain price. I’m very happy with my purchase.

We have owned this machine for more than a year and a half. It’s always had its quirky electrical behaviors, not always, but frequently enough to make us notice. For a while, it was the digital clock randomly resetting, or the automatic brew feature failing to automatically brew so there was nothing to put in the thermos. But since we mostly use the espresso maker and so we just chalked it up to “the ghost in the machine”. Today, after setting up to brew an espresso, I walked into the kitchen to get the glass and heard the machine kick on into the noise it makes when brewing. I returned to find coffee pouring out of it. None of the espresso buttons were on and the unit was unresponsive to any of them and I could only get it to stop by unplugging it. It seemed to have spontaneously launched itself into descaling mode. I have read enough of the other reviews here to see that internal electrical issues are not unique to my machine. It leaves me wondering whether it is worth pursuing a repair or if it’s just time to write it off as a $300 loss. But we did enjoy the espresso.
