Unless you have the money to spare or youre a must be on the cutting edge of console graphics, this may not be for you. i Love it, but im a must have best graphics type of guy and i sold my old system and a few other things a few days before to get it. for me it is worth it. but honestly its not going to blow your mind. if youre not looking to empty your bank acct. or just not too picky, original or slim ps5 is cheaper and almost just as good. if you love framerates and a bit clearer graphics and have the money, get the pro! :).

I’m a person that likes the latest and greatest, I purchased mainly due to the WiFi 7, and it works great much better download speeds latency is much better as I have no way of running a Ethernet cable without cutting walls, the 2TB and upgraded GPU is icing on the cake, people saying but the new Xbox for 600 it’s cheaper, your buying the same Xbox from 2020 with a 2tb storage and a paint job, so your paying 100 more for 1 more TB of storage, with no other improvements, so as far as I’m concerned this is a much better value

As you know Sonys latest hardware the PS5 pro! $699.99 and no disc drive that will be another $79.99 and to securely stand it up you guessed it another $29.99.
If you play on a large screen TV and sit a normal distance away you are barely going to be able to tell what the Pro enhancements were. Better suited for smaller TVs and closer range of sitting to really get the benefits.
I will be returning this and just buying a slim save money for the inevitable PS6!

Can visually see differences Compared to what i had. Its priced a little higher but your getting 2tb and other features but does have accessories draw backs minuses. But over all am good with it.

First of all, its expensive, too expensice for a console. However, I game on a 77 inch oled and sit about 8 feet away. Games like Final Fantasy Rebirth, Alan Wake 2, and Star Wars Outlaws were noticeably blurry to the eye on tbe regular ps5. Ot was like you were playing this high end system with nice graphics, but they ran out of juice for the resolution part. It was like playing the game through the bad lense at the eye doctor. Anyway, the ps5 pro fixed this with more horespower and pssr. Those games I mentioned, among others like Hogwarts Academy and Dragon age Veilguard look super sharp and crips. This not only makes it look like you booted up a high end pc, but it also adds depth and immersion. I feel like i see kore of the background and the worlds are more expansive. Now, i you have a tv 55 inches or less and you sit 10 or more feet from your tv, this honestly might not be a good purchase for you. The change might be barely noticeable in that situation. Anyway, im still yet to play any game thet was 30 fps only on the vanilla ps5 or see one thst has added ray tracing, but im sure that will be good too.

I have the OG launch day PS5. I have the PS5 slim as well. This is what the original PS5 should have been. The PS5 PRO and the PSSR (playstation spectral super resolution) really packs a punch. I can tell PS3, PS4, PS5 and PS5 PRO enhanced games look so much better. Especially the regular PS5 games that felt unplayable are now playable. Lets make gaming great again! Just got the PS5 Pro and started playing some of the titles that offer the enhancements for Pro. So far, I’m happy with what I see. It doesn’t change the why you play the games you love but it does make the replay experience more enjoyable with higher fidelity; along with higher frames per second. I’m happy with the choice to upgrade.

I was skeptical the PS5 Pro would be much better than the original PS5. I bought it because I wanted to have the best of both worlds, 4k gaming with 60 fps. It took me 3 hours to transfer everything to the new Pro system. I finally got to play last night and was blown away. I booted up FF7 rebirth and the game now looks like its an IMAX movie. I can’t wait to replace some other games that are PS5 Pro-enhanced. This is soooooooooo worth the money.

It is really impressive in games that have uncapped frame rates and even improves the resolution in games that don’t. On top of that, native ps5 pro ports are even more impressive with Spiderman 2 running at 40fps with VRR and fidelity ps5 pro mode. It is a little expensive and probably should have included a disc drive which is why I give it a 4 out of 5 but it is still good all around. It also transferred all the games from my m.2 drive in under an hour for twelve hundred gigabytes of data.

Back when the PS4 Pro came out, I got it because I had a 4K 65″ OLED and wanted to play Spider-Man the best way I could. When they announced the PS5 Pro, I had similar feelings for it. I spent most of 11/07/24 setting it up. Installing the disc drive for it, M.2, and stand. Now that I have a 77″ LG OLED, I have to say it’s pretty striking, the graphical upgrade that this machine produces is amazing. I have most of the games on its enhanced list, and going through them yesterday was nice. Is it worth 700 dollars? Your wallet will be the judge of that. Altogether this thing cost me $880 with the drive and stand. It is absolutely insane that Sony does not include them for this cost. Either way, I feel future-proofed to the end of the PS5’s life cycle now. Not to mention Grand Theft Auto VI will likely support the enhancements. Looking forward to that.

I like having the best and for PlayStation this is it. Some games really shine with the added power while others aren’t that discernible. This is definitely a luxury product and not a must have upgrade. It is a no brainer for those without a PS5 yet. The digital slim is $450 so this is $250 more. On paper $100 would cover the bigger hard drive and I would say the added power is worth the other $150 to have. Gets a little trickier if you need a disc drive but at least the option is there. They should have offered a $750 version with it like they do with the slim model. So you get the drive for an additional $50 in the slim models but will have pay $80 to add it to the pro.

First thing… A gaming PC builder here. If you want to buy a gaming PC for 699$ be my guest. Youll be doing it again next year as well cause all you get in the PC world for 7 bills is obsolete last gen tech, if your lucky you might be able to run SIMS 4. The PS5 pro is worth the investment. With its capabilities Id rank it up there with the $2500-3k PC builds. The regular PS5? Good box, but the Pro is worth the extra.

First of all know what you are buying. I see no point of people saying they are surprised there is no stand or disc drive. So you casually spend $700 without researching your purchase? If you’re ok with those missing or buying them separately then the real question is this worth the extra money? I think that depends on several factors. Obviously the nicer your TV is the better value this will be. Keep in mind for the extra money your getting more then just a better GPU. You’re getting 2TB of storage (1.89TB available) which is more than double the standard PS5. Wifi has been upgraded to Wifi 7. They added 2GB more ram as well. Is it night and day better? No not really. But is a PS5 pro enchanced game noticable? I would say yes it is. Horizon remastered pro on an OLED is absolutely gorgeous and thats after playing the original PS5 version and its sequel. If you have the means ans you want the best visual quality on a growing list of games on console this is a worthy choice.

This is by far worth the purchase despite what many say on the internet. It has brought life to old PS4 games, improved PSVR2 game quality, enhanced PS5 games that are not pro enhanced thanks to the new specs, and the new Pro mode. I have no complaints with this console. All topped by the best console preordering experience thanks to Best Buy’s curbside pick up. Setting up the console was extremely easy, and so was transferring my data from my slim PS5 to the Pro console.

Its definitely not for everybody but if you want to get the best performance possible out of ps5 games its a must buy. The higher frame rates at higher resolution are definitely noticeable compared to the base ps5. The addition of PSSR upscaling is really a game changer allowing games to run higher frame rates at 4k quality resolution.
