Returns

I am really happy with the machine. The frother works great, I love the fact that I can put it in the fridge and not have to worry about the milk going bad. The coffee options are great. I can make myself a redye at a push of a button. As long as your using a good bean, the coffee tastes great and the temperature of is perfect. I wish the frother can hold a little bit more, but other than that it is money well spent, this one competes with machines that are 4 times the price.

It’s ok for a fully automated espresso machine. Maybe if you’ve had similar machines in the past and understand sticking to one type of beans is the way to go then this is perfect. But if you like to try different beans and need to adjust the grinder all the time you might get frustrated like me who had to waste a few espresso shots to get to the right espresso taste when switching beans. I ended up wasting so much beans just finding the right taste every time I try something new or go back to the beans I like.

I’ve had this machine for a year now and it’s been really wonderful. We have to descale every 3-4 weeks, which has become an easy task. The coffee and espresso taste great. The only thing I wish this machine did that it doesn’t do is make frothed milk without also making a latte. My kids like frothed “vanilla milk” and I have to drink a coffee every time (or toss).
We had been using Nespresso pods before and it was so wasteful and expensive.

After 45 days, I no longer able to make “Strong Double shot” coffee or espresso. It starts to make it by grinding the coffee, but then maybe a couple drops. After that the refill bean hopper indicator appears (but it is full).
I did NOT continuously use the machine.

This machine has been pretty awesome! Slight learning curve with getting the right grind. We love saving money by not hitting the local coffee shops every morning. We’ve had it about a month and a half now and has already paid for itself. Very user friendly and has definitely been a hit in our house. The grinder is noisy, and I do not like the “pre-ground” feature, but those are my only real negatives. It makes great cappuccinos, and even my wife likes them if I brew at the mildest (I prefer the strongest brew). I wish it had two bean holders (one for a mild bean or decaf for my wife, and one with bolder beans for me), but those machines cost at least twice as much.

Started acting up less than a year in… if I select a drink sometimes it won’t do anything, then other times it will only pour milk and no coffee. The taste of the espresso itself really isn’t that good for how much this machine costs. Other than the convenience and ease of just pressing a button it’s just not that great tasting. I will say though, that the milk does froth up pretty good over other machines

I wanted to love this machine but the ease of use just wasn’t there along with the milk froth system stopped working after two drinks. The instruction manual wasn’t even inline with the buttons on the machine, it was all confusing and definitely not user friendly in my opinion. I returned and exchanged for the Philips 4400 LatteGo machine and this is what the De’Longhi should have been.
